Pinehouse hosted the 2017 Northern regional Senior Track and Field Day. the weather was perfect for a day full of great athletic skill and competitive spirit. The event was attended by Beauval, La Loche, Canoe Lake and the host Pinehouse. MWHS athletes represted the school well, making the podium in almost every event.
This event would not have been such a success without the support of each MWHS staff member, in particular Joel Durocher, Curtis Chandler, Ryan Jones and Jenn Smith.
The major highlight came at the days end, with Dray Tinker anchoring the boys 400m relay team, consisting of Josiah Misponas, Chris Caisse and Tyler Roberts.
Dray’s performance in both the 100m and 200m races sent him to Districts, where he placed on the podium as well registering for provincials!
